Lo and behold! Woke up to my Drosera paradoxa trying to catch a small fly. This little plant has definitely worked up a big appetite. Unfortunately, it escaped after a few hours of struggle. I guess the plant needs to grow more or stick to eating fruit flies for now..

Cutting off a flower stalk from a sundew
Today, I saw that my biggest Drosera burmanni produced a flower stalk. Since I have 2 burmannii sundews currently flowering already, I decided to cut it off. I don't want it to shrink due to the stress and energy of producing flowers. Watch the video. Snip! Snip!

The First Catch
I've been growing carnivorous plants for about 3-4 months now and it's been teaching me a lot about patience. That's why I started this blog to keep track of their progress and share some tips on how to grow them based on my personal experience.
I started with 3 varieties of carnivorous plants. These are Nepenthes aka Tropical Pitcher Plant, Drosera aka Sundew and the most famous of all carnivorous plants, the Dionaea or commonly called as Venus FlyTrap. .
